Half-Life

Good day! I would like to talk about the famous and popular series of Half-Life games. The Universe of Half-Life, also known as the Half-Life and Portal universe-the science fiction universe created by Valve Corporation in 1998 with the release of Half-Life on the PC platform. It passes through four related storylines arising from the games: Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Portal and Portal 2.Since then, Half-Life has undergone many changes, extensions and continuations, most of which are in the same universe. Most of them developed Valve, however, three additions – Blue Shift, Opposing Force and Decay – were developed by Gearbox Software.

.
In 2005, Electronic Arts took over the publication of Half-Life games.

Since the first appearance, the series has been constantly presented on many consoles such as PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, as well as Mac. Started on the GoldSRC engine, modifications of the Quake engine, now the series is built on the Source movement.

The protagonist of the Half-Life series is a former employee of the Black Mesa Gordon Freeman, who tried to get out of the Black Mesa and the employed G-man. In continuations and spin-features, the main character is not Gordon, but the Corporal Hecu and the guard of black ticks, looking for, like Freeman, a way out of black meza.

In the spin-off of the series, Portal and Portal 2, the main character becomes Chell, an experimental girl located in an automated enrichment center Aperture Science and controlled by a artificial intelligence named Glados.

They report that they have already investigated a sample of a mass spectrometer, but this time equipment with great resolution is required. Going down to the level below, Gordon enters the room adjacent to the test chamber. Two scientists who were waiting for Gordon there say that this sample is the cleanest and, potentially, the most unstable. Convincing Gordon that everything will be fine, they let him inward.

Climbing the stairs to the balcony, it includes the rotor of the mass spectrometer, and scientists disperse it to the planned level. It is found that the capacitors are overloaded by five percent, but scientists close their eyes to this, considering this the norm. Just by this time, a sample arrives in the camera, and Gordon introduces it into the beam of anti-mass spectrometer.

And at that moment something incomprehensible is happening. From the mass spectrometer, green rays begin to beat in the walls of the cells, then the screams of scientists are heard and before Gordon’s eyes it becomes black. For a moment, he again finds himself in the cell, after which he takes him twice to some unknown strange place inhabited by unusual forms of life. Finally Gordon returns to the test chamber, where the ceiling began to collapse as a result of experience.

Having found a mount, Gordon begins to make his way to the surface.

He meets those scientists who exploded the computer before experience, and one of them (as we find out in Half-Life 2, Ilai Wence), sends it to the surface for help. Black Mesa received serious damage, but, even worse, many aliens from Zen, the border world, begin mass teleportations in the research complex. All of them adapt well to surrounding conditions and all of them behave aggressively. In addition, oddly enough, a strange person in a suit, always located outside the reach of Gordon, is watching Gordon.

Since the transport system is damaged, Gordon has to go through the cooler storage center to find the way out.

The best comments

Dalm. I propose to dilute with all kinds "… Here Gordon goes around the corner, and there are two special forces. He is so puffed and puts one. The second jumps over the column and and so thousands of thousand! from a machine gun to Gordon. But our courageous physicist quickly walks around his flank and so haze-yyysh! from a dejection to the head!"

Well, seriously, then very dull. As if nothing. Retelling the plot. For what? Who is interested to find all this on your Internet. Why is it all?

Half-Life: The consequences of unforeseen

Gordon Freeman was waiting. The lamps of him blinked and sincused into the air. There were headcrabs in the complex. He did not see them, but expected them for years. His warnings to the Doctrus were not heard, but now it’s too late. It has long been too late, in any case.

Gordon was a doctor of physics fourteen years. When he was young, he looked at the Koladers, and told the dad “I want to be on Kolader, daddy."

Dad said "No! You will be killed by headcrabs "

There was a time when he believed him. Then, he was old, he stopped. But now, in the cluster of Black Mass, he knew that there were headcrabs. "This Pivaner" reached the radio. “You have to fight with headcases!"

So Gordon grabbed his monitor and broke the wall.

"He wants to kill us" said the headcrabs

“I will shoot at him” said Alingualant and he shot with fly shells. Gordon rose into him and tried to blow him. But then the ceiling fell and they were trapped and could not kill.

"No! I have to kill the headcrabs "He screamed

Radio said "No, Gordon. You are headcrabs "

And then Gordon was a zombie.

A simple obvious retelling. Half-Life is valued that there is a lot of “hidden” plot, which is appreciated by the fact that in the game we see only his echoes. Articles on this subject on the Internet of a lot.

And informatively not accurately and chaotic. For example, if we are talking about a publishing house on different consoles, then it was worth either dividing which parts on which platforms were published, or list all the platforms. The “article” mentioned the MAC and the PS2, PS3 and Xbox360 console, while the first half, in addition to PC, reached PS2, and the second on the first two boxes, the third curling iron, NVIDIA Shit Shield, as well as Mack and (sorry, Lord) Android.
